من می توانم درک کنم که از آنجا که بسیاری از جنگ سالاران ظالم ازطریق منحرف کردن مسیحیت و استفاده از جهل مردم از مسیحیت، برای شروع جنگ های ظالمانه خود در تاریخ مسیحیت از مسیحیت سواستفاده کرده اند، این امر به تعالیم عیسی و نام خدا و مسیحیت آسیب جدی رساند. اما اگر کسی می خواهد از مسیحیت انتقاد کند ، باید سعی کند کتاب مقدس یا همان انجیل و تعالیم عیسی را مورد انتقاد قرار دهد و نه رفتار برخی از سواستفاده گران و ریاکاران در تاریخ که از نام خدای خود سواستفاده کرده اند! اما اگر می خواهیم در مورد کتاب مقدس و تعالیم عیسی صحبت کنیم، عیسی مسیح گفت شما حتی باید دشمن خود را دوست داشته باشید! بنابراین، دقیقاً چگونه یک مسیحی حتی میتواند مجاز به حمله به دیگران باشد؟ البته در حالی که دفاع از خود در مسیحیت مجاز است و مسیحیت نیز به آزادی دین اعتقاد دارد ، اما انتقام یا قصاص یا حمله و تصرف و تجاوز به دیگران یا تلاش برای آوردن شخص دیگری به زور به بهشت در مسیحیت اصلاً مجاز نیست! من فکر می کنم مسیحیان باید این موارد را برای دیگران که مسیحیت را به تعصب یا دستکاری متهم می کنند ، روشن کنند! انتقاد مهم دیگر از مسیحیت این سوال طبق معمول است: "اگر خدا ما را دوست دارد ، چرا اجازه داد در این زندگی از درد بسیاری رنج ببریم؟" خوب ، پاسخ این است که عیسی مسیح گفت: " یقین بدانید كه اگر دانهٔ گندم به داخل خاک نرود و نمیرد، هیچ‌وقت از یک دانه بیشتر نمی‌شود امّا اگر بمیرد دانه‌های بی‌شماری به بار می‌آورد." (یوحنا 12:24). عیسی همچنین گفت: "در كتب انبیا نوشته شده است: همه از خدا تعلیم خواهند یافت. بنابراین هرکس صدای پدر را شنیده واز او تعلیم گرفته باشد، نزد من می‌آید." (یوحنا 6:45). بنابراین ، همانطور که می بینید ، خدا از درد برای آموزش ما استفاده می کند. آیا واقعاً فکر می کنید که اگر خدا می خواست شر و درد و شیطان را نابود کند ، نمی توانست این کار را انجام دهد؟ البته که او می توانست. او متعال و قادر مطلق است. اما چه کسی واقعاً از نور و عشق قدردانی خواهد کرد؟ پاسخ کسی است که تاریکی ، نفرت و بی رحمی را دیده و تجربه کرده است! ذهن ما چیزها را فقط در دوگانه بودن و تضاد درک می کند، و خدا می خواهد که ما واقعاً خوب باشیم ، و شما فقط در صورتی خوب هستید که قادر به انتقام یا ظلم به دیگران باشید ، اما شما تصمیم بگیرید که به طور داوطلبانه و از روی اراده و عمد خودتان و آگاهانه دیگران را ببخشید و دوست داشته باشید! در واقع ، این انتخاب با فضیلت و خوب و صالح بودن و عمل داوطلبانه به آن باعث می شود که شما فرد خوبی باشید. و شما باید قوی باشید تا با فضیلت و خوب باشید زیرا باید با شر و وسوسه های درون خود مقابله کنید و آن را کنترل کنید! این البته راهی سخت تر است زیرا شما باید مسئولیت پذیر باشید! به همین دلیل عیسی مسیح گفت: '' از درِ تنگ داخل شوید، زیرا فراخ است آن در و عریض است آن راه که به هلاکت منتهی میشود و داخل‌شوندگانِ به آن بسیارند. امّا تنگ است آن در و سخت است آن راه که به حیات منتهی میشود، و یابندگان آن کم‌اند.'' (متی 14 - 13 :7). پس محکم و قوی و استوار باش و با شیطان درون خود مقابله کن و رنج های زندگی را با داشتن عشق و خدا در قلب خود تحمل کن. خدا می خواهد ما خداگونه باشیم و به همین دلیل دردها در این دنیا وجود دارد! چرا خدای قادر و متعال شیطان و شرو بدی را نابود نمیکند؟
بعضی از افراد به خدا انتقاد میکنند و میگویند اگر شیطان دشمن خدا است پس چرا خدای قادر و توانا او را از بین نمیبرد؟ خب، بیایید فرض کنیم که خدا تمامی بدی ها و شرها و شیطان را از خلقت نابود و پاک کند، آیا در آن صورت میتوان گفت که فردی که کارها و انتخاب های خوب و خیر میکند، فردی درستکار و خوب و فاضل است؟ مسلما خیر! زیرا در آن صورت، آن فرد انتخابی جز خوب بودن نداشته است و در حقیقت آن فرد قدرت انتخاب آزاد بین خوبی و بدی را ندارد. به عبارت دیگر، اگر خدا اکنون همه چیز را از شر و بدی پاک کند، مردم قدرت انتخاب واختیار نخواهند داشت. تنها فردی حقیقتا خوب است که قادر به بد و شر بودن هم باشد اما از روی قصد و مختارانه خوبی و خیر را انتخاب کرده باشد. به همین دلیل است که فرد باید ضعف ها و سایه ی درون خود را بشناسد تا آن راکنترل کند. خدا قصد دارد تا همه انسان ها را آموزش دهد تا به سعادتمندی برسند و به همین دلیل خدا به ما قدرت انتخاب و اختیار آزاد داد تا مردم، در عین قادر بودن به بد بودن خوبی و خدا را از عمد و داوطلبانه انتخاب کنند و با پیروی از آموزش های خدا حقیقتا انسان های کامل و خوبی شوند و همانطور که عیسی مسیح میگوید: "در كتب انبیا نوشته شده است: همه از خدا تعلیم خواهند یافت. بنابراین هرکس صدای پدر را شنیده واز او تعلیم گرفته باشد، نزد من می‌آید."(انجیل یوحنا 6:45).

Dear Friends, The title of this book is "Tokens of Trust: An Introduction to Christian Belief" by Rowan Williams. Since this book is one of the best books to get acquainted with and introduced to Christianity, I decided to introduce this book to you, and since I did not find any Persian translation for this book, I have tried to make a summary of each chapter in this series of articles which is based on my realisation and understanding of the book. I hope you enjoy it and make the most out of it.

Chapter 2: The risk of Love:
Many people try to understand God or justify his existence by using logic and rationality. Despite this fact that if we consider the discipline and order of nature and the whole universe, it’s wiser and more possible to think that someone made this universe this way, but the truth is that there is no 100% logic or an absolutely strong rational reason for God’s existence. For example, logically and mathematically, we know that if we consider the speed of the expansion of the world which is, by the way, the exact suitable speed of expansion for having life on the earth, or many other things in this world, the chance that everything happened randomly in this way in the world is even below the chance of getting a non-stop 6 after the 17th dice-roll. Yet, many people might say, well we know that is really unlikely to have all these things randomly but still also a tiny-tiny possibility! Well, they are not wrong! So, our argument is not 100% and absolutely strong mathematically. Or If we state this fact that everything in this world has a reason and if we follow this chain and domino toward the first move and the source, then it is God, many people would say: “so, if you consider this fact that everything has a cause or reason, then you should still say what is the cause and reason of God? And if you say that God is his own reason, that means, somethings can be their own reasons, so other things could be already in the world without the need of any God or reason!”. Well, the truth is that God’s existence is not dependent on rationality and mathematics. Nowadays, Psychoanalysis of Dr Carl Gustav Jung, found out that actually, our consciousness or Ego or rationality or logic which are all kind of the same thing, controls only about 10 to 15 % of our life and our choices in everyday life! Dr Freud and Dr Jung found out that actually our unconscious mind which is not rational, and it is filled with deep emotions and intuitions, is controlling about 85 to 90 % of our life unconsciously! This is why humans are complicated creatures and they use the help of religion, psychologists, art etc. to understand themselves and reason for their own choices.
For example, everybody knows that Fast food is bad for health and nobody likes cancer or other illnesses, but why humans still are eating high amount of fast foods tremendously? Obviously because of its joy and the taste! So, usually, many people are not acting rationally in their daily life. But the thing is, there is far deeper hunger for other things in us too! Such as the hunger for truth or the hunger for love or the hunger a meaning for life! In fact, purely mathematically, love is not rational at all! Because the foundation and roots of rationality and logic are based on mathematics and mathematics itself is based on Physical rules of this material world, and therefore, mathematically, if there is nothing after death and if there is no God or heaven or hell, then why should we give a present and our love to someone else while we can have it for ourselves? Why should we love others and care deeply about someone else? Yet, we can witness that even too many atheists also love their family and friends and some of them are ready to die for their loved ones. Some atheists and agnostics even try to make the world a better place by setting some humanitarian rules. So my question from atheists is: if you believe that there is no life after death, there is no God, no hell, no heaven, and nothing beyond this material world, why do you bother to leave the world a better place after yourself? I assume that they would probably answer: “because it feels good to make the world a better place because we love others and we care about them”. And in that case, I would say: “Okay, fair enough, because as the bible says God is Love and when you care about love, that means you actually care about God! But somehow, you try to avoid mentioning the name “God” and you try to find Love’s rules and principles or in other words, God’s rules and principles, by your own and by just depending and relying on your pure logic and rationality and conscious mind while our conscious mind or rationality controls only 10% to 15% of our lives and choices and it is our unconscious mind which controls 85% to 90% of our life but you are neglecting your unconscious mind. While God has given you already his rules and has taught you his principles by sending his Son, Jesus Christ. So, in my opinion, you are a good person with good intentions, and you are deeply religious as well because you act so like a religious person, despite that you say that you are not a religious person! But I should say, in my opinion, your religion is more like a cripple religion comparing to Christianity because as I said you try to find Love’s rules and principles or in other words, God’s rules and principles, by your own and by just depending and relying on your pure logic and rationality and conscious mind while our conscious mind or rationality controls only 10% to 15% of our lives and choices and it is our unconscious mind which controls 85% to 90% of our life but you are neglecting your unconscious mind.”
I can understand that since many evil warlords have misused Christianity to initiate cruel wars in the history of Christianity, they damaged Jesus’s teachings and the name of God and Christianity. But if someone wants to criticise Christianity, they should try to criticise the bible and Jesus’s teachings and not the behaviour of some hypocrites in the history who had put the name of their God in vain and misused it! But if we want to talk about the Bible and Jesus’s teachings, Jesus Christ said you should even love your enemy! So, how exactly a Christian is allowed to attack others?
While self-defence is allowed in Christianity and Christianity also believes in freedom of religion, but retaliation or revenge or invasion and attacking others or trying to bring someone else by force to heaven are not allowed in Christianity at all! I think Christians should clarify these things for others who accuse Christianity of being fanatic or manipulative!
The other important criticism of Christianity is this typical question: “If God loves us, why he let us suffer from many pains in this life?” Well, the answer is that Jesus Christ said: “Very truly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” (John 12:24). Jesus also said: “It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me.” (John 6:45). So, as you see, God is using pain to teach us. Do you really think that if God wanted to destroy evil and pains, he couldn’t do it? Of course, he could. He is almighty. But who will really appreciate light and love? The answer is the one who has witnessed and experienced darkness, hate and cruelty! Our mind understands things in duality, and God wants us to be truly good, and you are only when truly good, if you are able to revenge or be cruel to others, BUT you choose to be forgiving and loving to others voluntarily by your free-will! In fact, this choice of being virtuous and acting on it voluntarily is what makes you a good person. And you should be strong to be virtuous because you need to confront the evil and temptations inside yourself and control it! This is harder because you need to be responsible! That is why Jesus Christ said: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matthew 7: 13-14). So, be strong and confront the evil inside and tolerate the sufferings of life with having love and God in your heart. God wants us to be God-like and this is why pains exist in this world!
Why God Almighty does not destroy Satan and evil?
Some people criticize God and say that if Satan is the enemy of God, then why God Almighty does not destroy him? Well, let us assume that God destroys all evils and evils and Satan from creation, then can it be said that a person who makes good deeds and choices is a righteous, good and virtuous person? Absolutely not! Because in that case, that person has no choice but to be good, and in fact, that person has no power to choose freely between good and evil. i.e. if God wipes out the wold from evil now, people will not have free-will. Only a person is really good who is able to be bad and evil, but has chosen God and good intentionally and voluntarily even if it is harder. This is why one must know one's weaknesses and inner shadow in order to control it. God intends to teach all human beings to achieve happiness and goodness, and for this reason, God has given us the power of free choice and free-will so that people, while being able to be bad, choose goodness and God intentionally and voluntarily, and become truly perfect and good human beings by following God's teachings and as Jesus says: "It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. (John 6:45).
