مورگان اورتگاس، سخنگوی وزارت خارجه آمریکا، در توییتی تصمیم ایران مبنی بر صدور حکم اعدام علیه امیرحسین مرادی، سعید تمجیدی و محمد رجبی، سه جوان ایرانی که در درگیری‌های آبان سال گذشته بازداشت شده‌اند، را به شدت محکوم کرد. اورتگاس همچنین نوشت: «بر اساس گزارش‌ها، این معترضین مورد ضرب‌و شتم قرار گرفته، اجازه دسترسی به وکیل نداشته و زیر فشار اعتراف ساختگی انجام داده‌اند. ایران باید به حقوق بشر احترام بگذارد و این اعدام‌ها را متوقف کند.»
هر سه نفر این بازداشت‌شدگان متولدین دهه ۱۳۷۰ هستند و بر اساس این گزارش، در جریان جلسه دادگاه، مرادی بارها خطاب به قاضی اعلام کرد که از او تحت «فشار، تهدید و شکنجه» اعتراف گرفته شده است و هیچ‌کدام از اتهام‌های وارده را قبول ندارد. از سوی دیگر تمجیدی و رجبی هم از داشتن وکیل انتخابی محروم بوده‌اند. بابک پاک‌نیا، وکیل پرونده سه متهم جوان بازداشت‌شده در جریان اعتراض‌های آبان که به اعدام محکوم شده‌اند، گفت دستگاه قضایی اجازه دسترسی به روند دادرسی و ورود به جزئیات را به وکلا نداده و اقرارها از متهمان در «شرایط عادی» گرفته نشده است.
این اعدام های غیر عادلانه که از سمت سازمان عفو بین الملل نیز به شدت محکوم شده باید سریعا خاتمه یابد.
اما مردم عزیز ایران، یادمان نرود که اگر ما حتی بخواهیم از حقوق بشر خدادادی خود دفاع کنیم هم باید این دفاع از خود را از راه های مسالمت آمیز انجام دهیم. راههایی مانند شرکت نکردن در انتخابات های رژیم، اعتصابات سراسری، نا فرمانی های مدنی و راهپیمایی های کاملا مسالمت آمیز برای بیان خواسته ها و اعتراضات خود. ما همه انسان هستیم و هرگز نباید به دنبال انتقام باشیم. دفاع شخصی مسالمیت آمیز و ضروری و واقعی درست و خوب است اما انتقام و خشونت و تنفر نباید در ما وجود داشته باشد. یادمان نرود بخشش بهتر از انتقام است و همه ما مخلوق های خداوند عزیز هستیم. ما کسانی که بر علیه ما ستم کرده و گناه کرده اند را میبخشیم تا خداوند عاشق و متعال نیز گناهان ما را ببخشد.

According to Iran International News Agency:
Morgan Ortagus, Spokesperson for the United States Department of State, has tweeted: "The U.S. strongly condemns Iran's decision to sentence Amir-Hossein Moradi, Saeed Tamjidi and Mohammad Rajabi to death. These protesters were reportedly beaten, denied lawyers, and coerced into false confessions. Iran must respect human rights and stop these executions." All of these three young people have been born in 1991 and according to this report, Mr Moradi has said several of times to the judge in the court that they had forced him to confess under pressure, torture and threaten and he does not accept any of these accuses. Besides, Mr Tamjidi and Mr Rajabi have been not able to choose their lawyer.
Babak Paknia, the attorney of the three young protesters whose death sentences were confirmed by the supreme court, says that the judiciary did not allow the defence attorneys to access the details of the case its procedure, and the confessions were not taken under “normal circumstances”. This unfair courts and sentences and executions by death have been condemned by Amnesty International and they must be stopped as soon as possible. But dear people of Iran, we should remember that if we even want to defend our own God-giving human rights, we should do this self-defence through peaceful ways such as not participating in the regime elections, nationwide strikes, civil disobedience and completely peaceful demonstrations to express our demands and protests. We are all human beings and we should never seek revenge. Peaceful and necessary and authentic self-defence is right and good, but revenge, violence and hatred should not be in us. Let us not forget that forgiveness is better than revenge and we are all creatures of loving God. We forgive those who trespass against us so that loving almighty God forgives us our trespasses.
